John spent the first 3.5 years of his career in the mission critical field. His first project was a 2 MW data center build out in downtown Atlanta. This project gave him a strong interest in Mission Critical work and he went on to work on data centers for the main players in this market. His firm was awarded the next project in Sterling, Virginia. This was a 11 MW total critical IT load, N+1 redundancy fit out project. John was given the role as MEP and commissioning manager. He handled OFCI and MEP scopes of work. The 3rd project was a greenfield data center in west Atlanta. He managed MEP trades on this project as well as commissioning.
